AFE athletes brought home a few medals from the OFSAA Track and Field Championships recently held at the University of Toronto.
Trent Corney led the pack with two GOLD and one SILVER. Trent won the Junior Boys Triple Jump with a leap of 13:54 and threw the Javelin 69.28 metres to take that event and break the existing OFSAA record by 11metres. He then completed the meet with a SILVER medal coming up with a 53.99m throw in the JB Discus event .Long Jump and Javelin Video HERE
Jacob Smith won GOLD (5:49) in the OB 2000m Steeplechase and SILVER (8:34.07) in the SB 3000m CLICK HERE for Steeplechase Video

Jeremy Rae took the GOLD medal in the SB 1500m in a time of 3:45.57 Video HERE

Stephen Hosier won BRONZE (8:35.49) in the SB 3000m and finished 7th in the 1500m

Harrison Sloan did well in his first experience at OFSAA taking the BRONZE medal (9:20.81) in the MB 3000m and placing 6th in the 1500m final (4:14.18). These were both PB's for Harrison.- 3000m video HERE
Trent Sayers earned BRONZE in the Senior Boys 800m final (1:54.23)  Video HERE
Kevin Bowman also threw for BRONZE in the JB Shot Put (15.94m) and came 4th in the Discus (52.61m).

Jeremy Rae didn't  do a sub 4 mile at the elite Festival Of Excellence World - Class Track and Field event  held at Varsity Stadium  thursday June 11th., but he didn't finish last either in a field of World Class athletes. (CLICK HERE).  Jeremy did manage to come up with a new PB, finishing in a time of  4:06.44. Good work Jeremy!
